Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Our school Canteen is P&C operated (see 'Supporting Our Students-P&C' for more details) and our canteen co-ordinator, Allison Knight provides healthy and affordable lunches and snacks for recess.
Information for Users
All orders MUST be placed by 9.30am each morning.
The school canteen operates daily for lunch from 11.15am-11.45am and recess from 1.40pm-2pm.
All hot food MUST BE ORDERED for both lunch and recess. This makes it easier for our coordinator and reduces waste.
Our Canteen is proudly operated by the P&C Association and is staffed by Allison Knight the Canteen Coordinator.

Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

At Goonellabah Public School we take pride in the wearing of our school uniform.
All uniforms except for socks and shoes may be purchased from the school office.

School Hats
As part of the Sun Smart Policy children are required to wear a hat in the playground and for all outdoor activities. Children without a hat need to abide by the policy "no hat, play in the shade".
Second Hand Clothing
From time to time there are some second hand clothing available. Please consider passing on any clean clothes which are still in reasonable condition to the School Office.
Please Note:
It is extremely important that each article of clothing is labelled with the child's name so that ready identification of ownership can be determined.
Hiring our facilities
You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.
